The Savannah Bananas are a baseball team in Savannah Georgia founded in 2016. The team originally played in the Coastal Plain League which is a summer collegiate league. In 2018 the Bananas started playing exhibition games during their off season using newly created Banana Ball rules.

Full time Banana Ball officially began after the 2022 summer CPL season. Per the rules video above, Banana Ball is baseball with some tweaks! Banana Ball was created to make baseball faster, more entertaining and lots of fun.

The Savannah Bananas now play Banana Ball year-round. There are four teams that play Banana Ball: the Savannah Bananas, the Texas Tailgaters, the Firefighters and the Party Animals. Players are recruited and paid. MLB players have played with the Bananas including Jonny Gomes, Bill Lee, and Josh Reddick.
There are certainly comparisons to the Harlem Globetrotters and Washington Generals. However, Banana Ball games are completely unscripted. Games are competitive. The Bananas do not always win.
The Bananas play in the famous Grayson Stadium in Savannah.
They have 11M followers on their TikTok channel. MLB has 8.4M followers on their channel. The MLB team with the most TikTok followers is the LA Dodgers with 2.4M.
