Marcel Hirscher in an Explosion of Color

Marcel Hirscher is an Alpine World Cup ski racer. He raced for Austria for 12 years from 2008 to 2019 and attempted a comeback in 2024 before his season was cut short with an injury. We’ll see what the future holds for this incredible racer. Hirscher won eight overall FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Titles, an accomplishment that probably will never be matched by another man. Mikaela Shiffrin has a chance surpass this record for the women.

The World Cup racing season is long and grueling. This video was created in 2015 at the end of the season. Hirscher had just won his fourth overall title. What a great way to spend a day having some fun!

After all, why not load up a course of slalom gates with brilliantly colored dye!? This is what happens when the best slalom skier in the world carves turns through the course, color exploding everywhere! The result is quite spectacular, especially against the background of the white snow. What a blast! Literally! The joy on his face at the end of the run is infectious!
