Unleashing Adventure: Brandon Semenuk’s Epic Journey Through the Alberta Badlands

Brandon Semenuk is arguably still one of the best mountain bikers in the world. He continues to advance the sport of freeride mountain biking.

This video was shot in 2024 in the Alberta Badlands just south of Dinosaur Provincial Park about 120 miles east of Calgary. As you’ll see in the video, the terrain is extraordinary! This area, also called the Canadian Badlands, warrants a post on this blog with requisite pictures and description. Stay tuned!

From the Description in the Red Bull Bike video description: “In the heart of Alberta’s flatlands lies a hidden realm where prehistoric giants once roamed. We present you with “Afterlife,” a mountain bike film set against the backdrop of this Jurassic landscape.  Take a ride with us through this strange and unfamiliar earth!”

Semenuk has created a bunch of similar videos and they’re all worth watching! He finds amazing remote locations and does incredible things on his mountain bike, filmed by his talented team.

Enough said. Enjoy this video! The images of the project from Pinkbike illustrate just how spectacular Brandon Semenuk on a mountain bike really is.
